AWS Cloud & DevOps Lead – Cognito, Terraform & GitHub Copilot

Own the AWS infrastructure and deployment lifecycle for the Customer Authentication Service, including Cognito configuration, environments, Terraform, CI/CD, observability and production readiness. Use GitHub Copilot with effective prompts and infrastructure context to accelerate delivery while independently reviewing and validating all output.

The platform uses AWS Cognito as the authentication authority, ODL as the identity authority and retained RSA capabilities. This role delivers the AWS foundation and repeatable deployment path for React/Node.js and Spring services and approved integrations. It uses prompt and context engineering for infrastructure work.

- Own AWS environment setup, networking, identity/access controls and infrastructure configuration for the agreed delivery environments.

- Configure and manage AWS Cognito user pools and approved authentication settings with the solution architect and security stakeholders.

- Implement and maintain Terraform infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, release promotion and version-controlled configuration.

- Set up monitoring, logging and operational visibility; maintain runbooks, rollback and recovery procedures.

- Lead deployment rehearsals, cutover,



production onboarding, issue triage, hypercare and operational handoff.

- Use GitHub Copilot with relevant architecture, Terraform, pipeline and security context to draft or review infrastructure code and scripts; test and validate every generated change.

- Protect credentials, secrets and customer data; follow approved security, privacy, review and change-control processes.

- Hands-on AWS infrastructure engineering and ownership of cloud environments and production deployments.

- AWS Cognito setup and configuration for customer authentication.

- Terraform and infrastructure-as-code delivery.

- CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release management and rollback planning.

- Cloud networking, IAM/access controls, secrets handling, monitoring and logging.

- Practical GitHub Copilot experience using effective prompts and repository/architecture context for IaC, scripting or pipeline work, with independent security and correctness review.

- Ability to lead cross-team infrastructure decisions and production incident/deployment coordination.

- Experience supporting existing AWS ECS workloads or legacy integration coexistence where required.

10-12 years with 3-4 years of relevant experience

AWS, AWS Cognito, Terraform, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, networking, IAM, monitoring/logging, GitHub Copilot, REST/API integration and approved deployment environments.
