Network Engineer (On-site) – Udyog Vihar, Gurugram Third Octopus | Full-time | 3+ years experience About Third Octopus Third Octopus is a Mumbai-headquartered IT consultancy with presence in India, the UK and the UAE. We specialise in Microsoft cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance advisory and managed services, and have served 100+ clients. This role is a full time, on-site position at one of our client sites in Udyog Vihar, Gurugram. What you will do Own the day-to-day health of the client's network: internet links, firewall, switches and Wi-Fi. Manage and maintain FortiGate firewalls, including access rules, bandwidth policies, VPN and firmware upgrades. Manage Ruckus wireless (controller and access points) and Ruckus switching, including performance tuning and coverage fixes. Monitor internet lines and work with the ISP on faults, slowness and outages. Troubleshoot connectivity issues end to end, from the user's device to the internet. Maintain network documentation: diagrams, IP plans, change records and standard operating procedures. Support the move to a high-availability design across internet links, firewall and switches.



Follow Third Octopus change and escalation processes and keep the client informed in plain language. What we are looking for 3+ years of hands-on experience in network administration or network support. Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting FortiGate firewalls (FortiOS). Hands-on experience with Ruckus wireless (SmartZone or Unleashed) and Ruckus switches. Solid understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, VPN and DHCP/DNS. Comfortable working on site, directly with business users and senior stakeholders. Based in Gurugram or Delhi NCR, or willing to relocate. Good to have Fortinet NSE or Ruckus certification. Exposure to Windows Server, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration. Experience with a small-to-mid office estate (NAS, backups, endpoint support).
