Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Mumbai. The Chartered Accountant will oversee financial accounting, statutory and tax compliance, and preparation of financial statements and management reports. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business performance. The role involves coordinating with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities, as well as ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and company policies. The Chartered Accountant will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, implement internal controls,



and provide insights that support SMARTANK’s consulting and advisory engagements. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including proficiency in preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
• Candidates should possess skills in taxation and regulatory compliance, including direct and indirect tax, statutory filings, and familiarity with Indian accounting and corporate laws.
• Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, with the ability to interpret data, monitor performance, and support business strategy.
• Candidates should possess skills in audit coordination, internal controls, and risk management to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance in financial operations.
• Candidates should possess strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, along with attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from a recognized professional body is required; additional certifications in finance or taxation are an advantage.
• Effective communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or a fast-paced business environment is beneficial.
