Senior Manager – HR Business Partner

Gurugram Business: Publicis Groupe – Creative Agency Function: Human Resources Role Overview We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Manager – HR Business Partner to partner with business and agency leadership in driving the people agenda. This role will act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, combining strong business understanding with hands-on HR expertise. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating a dynamic creative environment, influencing senior stakeholders and translating business priorities into effective people strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Business & Leadership Partnership
• Partner closely with agency leadership to understand business priorities, organization needs and talent challenges.
• Act as a trusted HR advisor to senior stakeholders on people, organization and workforce matters.
• Provide insights and recommendations around organization design, workforce planning, talent deployment and succession. Talent & People Strategy
• Drive talent reviews, succession planning and identification of critical talent.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning, critical hiring and talent priorities.
• Enable internal mobility, career development and retention of key talent.
• Work with leaders to identify capability gaps and build appropriate development interventions. Performance & Development
• Lead the performance management lifecycle for the business.
• Coach managers on performance conversations, development plans and managing performance concerns.
• Partner with Learning & Development teams to identify leadership and functional capability-building needs. Employee Engagement & Culture
• Drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, collaboration and agency culture.
• Serve as an employee advocate while balancing business and organizational requirements.




• Use employee feedback and people data to identify themes and recommend interventions.
• Support change management and organizational transformation initiatives. Employee Relations
• Partner with managers on employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent and timely resolution.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, processes and people-related decisions.
• Work closely with relevant HR and legal stakeholders on sensitive employee matters. People Analytics & HR Operations
• Monitor key people metrics such as attrition, retention, talent movement, performance and workforce trends.
• Translate people data into actionable insights for business leadership.
• Partner effectively with HR specialist teams across Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development and HR Operations. Desired Profile
• Approximately 8–10 years of HR experience, with significant experience as an HR Business Partner.
• Experience partnering with senior business leaders and managing complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong understanding of talent management, performance management, employee engagement, organization development and employee relations.
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Strong influencing, stakeholder management and coaching skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, matrixed and high-energy environment.
• Previous experience in advertising, media, digital, consulting, technology or another people-intensive services business would be advantageous.
• MBA/PGDM or equivalent qualification in Human Resources preferred. What We’re Looking For Someone who is commercially aware, people-focused and pragmatic.
