Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented L1 Infrastructure Support Engineer to manage day-to-day IT infrastructure operations, monitoring, and level-1 support. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of Windows/Linux operating systems, hypervisors, networks, backups, and storage environments while adhering to SLA-based service delivery.

Key Responsibilities 1. OS Administration System Health

- Perform day-to-day administration and health checks for Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

- Execute scheduled OS patching, security updates, and assist in vulnerability remediation.

- Perform basic Hyper-V health checks, monitoring, and routine administration.

2. Incident Management L1 Support

- Provide L1 troubleshooting for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.

- Conduct application-level support and coordinate with technical teams for swift incident resolution.

- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to L2 Support, OEM Vendors, or Application Development Teams with transparent diagnostic reports.

3. Infrastructure Backup Monitoring

- Continuously monitor servers, storage arrays, network devices, security tools, and virtualization platforms.

- Oversee scheduled backup processes, verify backup success/failure logs,



and coordinate remediation for failed jobs.

- Conduct periodic physical/virtual infrastructure health checks and log analysis.

4. Operations Documentation

- Maintain up-to-date operational documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), system inventories, and ticket records.

- Ensure strict compliance with ITIL framework processes and SLA targets.

Required Skills Qualifications

- Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support or enterprise helpdesk roles.

- Operating Systems: Sound knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS) administration.

- Virtualization: Basic working knowledge of Hyper-V (VM creation, monitoring, basic host health checks).

- Backup Storage: Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Veritas) and storage concepts (NAS/SAN).

- Networking Security: Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and security patching practices.

- ITS Tools: Practical experience using ticketing and monitoring tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds).

- Soft Skills: Good oral/written communication skills and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications (Plus)

- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or ITIL Foundation.
