Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Surveyor with 24 years of experience in civil construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for conducting site surveys, setting out building layouts, establishing levels and coordinates, and verifying construction dimensions in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications. The role requires hands-on experience with surveying instruments and close coordination with site engineers and project teams to ensure accurate execution of civil works.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct land surveys, site surveys, and topographical surveys as required for construction activities.

- Carry out setting-out works for buildings, foundations, columns, beams, roads, and other civil structures.

- Establish and verify grid lines, reference points, benchmarks, and coordinates at the project site.

- Perform level surveys and check excavation depths, foundation levels, plinth levels, floor levels, and road levels.

- Operate surveying instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, Dumpy Level, and GPS/GNSS equipment, as applicable.

- Transfer levels and coordinates from approved drawings to the construction site.

- Verify dimensions, alignments,



elevations, and positions of structural and civil elements.

- Conduct as-built surveys and record actual site measurements after completion of work.

- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate setting out and construction execution.

- Check survey data against approved architectural, structural, and infrastructure drawings.

- Maintain survey field books, measurement records, coordinate data, and survey reports.

- Identify discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings and report them to the project team.

- Assist in quantity measurements and progress verification where required.

Required Skills

- Positive knowledge of civil construction surveying and setting-out procedures.

- Ability to read and interpret civil, architectural, and structural drawings.

- Knowledge of benchmarks, coordinates, grid lines, elevations, and alignment checks.

- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and survey data processing is preferred.

Educational Qualification

- ITI in Surveying or Diploma in Civil Engineering / Surveying preferred.

- 2–4 years of relevant experience as a Civil Surveyor in construction or infrastructure projects.

- Experience in building construction, roads, foundations, commercial projects, or infrastructure works is preferred.

- Practical experience in site setting out, level checking, and operating surveying instruments is required.
