Roles & Responsibilities

1. Plant & Production Management

- Lead and manage end-to-end plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, EHS, stores and dispatch.
- Achieve production targets, improve equipment utilization, optimize yield and ensure on-time delivery.
- Drive process optimization, capacity utilization and manufacturing efficiency across multiple product lines.
- Monitor daily production performance and resolve operational bottlenecks.

2. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reduce process losses, rejection, wastage, downtime and manufacturing costs.
- Improve OEE, productivity, throughput and resource utilization.

3. Quality Management & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to quality standards, customer specifications and audit requirements.
- Drive defect prevention, root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and applicable statutory requirements.

4. Maintenance & EHS

- Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimize breakdowns.
- Ensure workplace safety, statutory EHS compliance and implementation of safe operating practices.
- Drive accident prevention and a solid safety culture.

5. Cost, Budget & Inventory Control

- Prepare and monitor manufacturing budgets, operating expenses and cost-reduction plans.




- Control material consumption, wastage, inventory and other manufacturing costs.
- Improve plant profitability through productivity and process improvement initiatives.

6. People & Stakeholder Management

- Lead, mentor and develop production, maintenance, quality and other plant functional teams.
- Drive manpower planning, training, performance management and employee engagement.
- Coordinate with HR, Supply Chain, R&D;, Sales and corporate teams.
- Support customer visits, plant audits and technical discussions.
- Report plant performance, key operational issues and improvement plans to senior management.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Engineering graduate in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Chemical or a related discipline.
- 12 to 18 years of experience in manufacturing, with substantial plant operations responsibility.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Plant Head, Manufacturing Head, Operations Head, Unit Head or equivalent senior leadership role.
- Experience managing multiple plant functions and preferably multiple product lines.
- Strong understanding of production planning, maintenance, quality systems, EHS, cost control and continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, OEE, root-cause analysis and ISO systems.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making and cross-functional coordination skills.
