Role Summary

We are looking for a Fixture Design Engineer with experience in CATIA V5, fixture design principles, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;). The candidate will be responsible for designing fixtures based on engineering requirements, ensuring dimensional accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop fixtures using CATIA V5.
- Apply fixture design principles to develop effective and reliable fixture solutions.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T; requirements.
- Ensure proper component positioning, locating, clamping, and repeatability in fixture designs.
- Review designs for dimensional accuracy, manufacturability, and ease of assembly.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Modify and optimize fixture designs based on engineering feedback and production requirements.
- Support checking fixture design and development activities, where applicable.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience with CATIA V5 for 3D modelling and 2D detailing.




- Strong understanding of fixture design principles.
- Valuable knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
- Understanding of locating, clamping, and positioning principles in fixture design.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in checking fixture design and development.
- Knowledge of inspection methods and dimensional verification.
- Understanding of automotive component manufacturing and quality requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in fixture design using CATIA V5, a strong understanding of GD&T;, and knowledge of checking fixtures will be preferred.
