Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Java Microservices & Integration Developer to design, develop, and support scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise integration solutions for the Vendor Incentive (VI) project.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, PostgreSQL, asynchronous processing, and enterprise integration patterns, with a focus on data integrity, fault tolerance, performance, and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Kafka Consumer Development
- Design and develop Java-based Kafka consumers using Spring Boot and Spring Kafka.
- Consume enterprise data events from Kafka topics hosted in AWS.
- Implement message parsing, schema validation, transformation, and business-rule validations.
- Persist consumed data into Oracle PaaS database tables.
- Implement reliable Kafka offset management to prevent message loss.
- Handle duplicate messages, retries, failed messages, and dead-letter topics.
- Support Kafka consumer group management, partitioning, and throughput optimization.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for Kafka processing failures.
2. Oracle PaaS Data Persistence
- Develop Java services to insert, update, and merge Kafka-consumed data into Oracle PaaS databases.
- Design staging tables, integration tables, and audit/control tables.
- Implement transactional processing, data validation, and error handling.
- Optimize SQL queries and database operations for high-volume processing.
- Ensure data consistency and traceability between Kafka messages and Oracle records.
- Implement restartable and recoverable processing mechanisms.
3. Asynchronous Oracle-to-PostgreSQL Synchronization
- Design and develop asynchronous Java services to synchronize data from Oracle PaaS to PostgreSQL hosted in GCP.
- Implement reliable data synchronization using transactional outbox, change data capture (CDC), or controlled incremental processing patterns as appropriate.
- Ensure Oracle database transactions and synchronization events are consistently captured.
- Implement retry mechanisms, duplicate-safe processing, checkpoint management, and failure recovery.
- Maintain data consistency between Oracle PaaS and PostgreSQL.
- Develop reconciliation processes to identify missing, failed, or inconsistent records.
- Support replay and reprocessing of failed synchronization transactions.
- Monitor synchronization delays, processing status, and data completeness.
4. Flat File Generation and Enable SFTP Integration
- Develop Java-based batch services to extract and process data from PostgreSQL.
- Implement business rules for data filtering, transformation, aggregation, and mapping.
- Generate CSV, delimited, or other Enable-approved flat-file formats.
- Implement file naming conventions, header/trailer records, record counts, and control totals where required.
- Validate file structure, completeness, accuracy, and duplicate prevention.
- Implement secure SFTP file transmission to the Enable platform.
- Develop file transfer logging, delivery status tracking, retry, and recovery mechanisms.
- Implement file archiving, retention, and audit controls.
- Support reconciliation between source records, generated files, and vendor acknowledgments where available.
- Develop Java batch jobs that can be triggered and managed through UC4/Automic.
6. GCP Deployment and Application Support
- Develop containerized Java services for deployment on Google Cloud Platform.
- Work with cloud infrastructure teams to configure application environments, connectivity, and security.
- Support integration with GCP services such as Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager, and Cloud Logging.
- Implement secure connectivity between AWS Kafka, Oracle PaaS, PostgreSQL, and Enable SFTP.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, and production deployments.
- Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and integration failures.
7. Testing and Quality Assurance
- Test Kafka message processing, database persistence, asynchronous synchronization, and file generation.
- Validate duplicate handling, retry processing, failure recovery, and data reconciliation.
- Support QA, SIT, E2E, and UAT testing.
- Document technical designs, interface mappings, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
Required Technical Skills
- Solid hands-on development experience in Java, Spring Boot , Microservices
- Integration development usingREST APIs / JSON , Java Batch Processing
