Test Engineer

candidate needs to have expertise in industrial automation/DCS system-level testing experience with direct ABB 800xA product/field-level exposure.

Technical Competencies

- Basic architecture of 800xA,
- Deep understanding in at least one of the communication protocols as : e.g. Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, IAC , OPC UA, IEC61850 etc
- Understanding about the controller family and the technical artifacts
- Understand product requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases
- Field experience can be considered as an add-on.
- Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases
- Validate UI/UX consistency and usability issues
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g. Azure DevOps)

? Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements

- Basic idea about the Test Process
- Basic idea about the SDLC model
- Basic idea about the defect lifecycle
- Prepare test reports and maintain documentation of test results
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing

- Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, etc.)
