Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Java Developer to join our Product department and play a pivotal role in designing, building, and enhancing scalable, high-performance applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class software solutions that drive our business forward and delight our customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable Java applications and services.
2. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, and QA engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
3. Lead code reviews, set coding standards, and mentor junior developers to promote engineering excellence.
4. Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement long-term fixes.
5. Write unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
6. Contribute to architectural decisions, advocating for best practices in software design, security, and performance.
7. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) to drive continuous delivery.
8. Document technical designs, APIs, and system integrations for future maintainability.

Requirements:

1. 3–10 years of hands-on experience in Java development with a strong grasp of core Java concepts.
2. Proficiency in object-oriented design principles,



data structures, and algorithms.
3. Solid experience with Java frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
4. Expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
5. Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and proficiency in SQL.
6. Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
7. Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, etc.).
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, Agile environment.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
2. Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
3. Exposure to messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) and event-driven architectures.
4. Familiarity with front-end technologies (React, Angular, or Vue) for full-stack development.
5. Understanding of DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins).
