Role Description The Pre-Sales Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurgaon, responsible for supporting the sales team with technical expertise and project design. Day-to-day activities include analyzing client requirements, preparing preliminary system designs and layouts, and developing technical proposals and cost estimates for renewable energy solutions. The role involves creating design documentation, supporting technical presentations and demonstrations, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure proposals are feasible and aligned with engineering standards.

The Pre-Sales Design Engineer will also assist in responding to RFQs/RFPs, performing basic feasibility and performance calculations,



and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies, standards, and regulations.

Qualifications

- Strong technical foundation in electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy engineering, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Experience in pre-sales or design engineering roles, including preparation of technical proposals, system layouts, and basic performance and cost analyses.
- Proficiency with design and visualization tools (e.g., CAD software, PV design tools, or similar applications) and standard office productivity software.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, engineering, and project teams, and to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to documenting designs and calculations.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements; experience in solar or other clean energy projects is an advantage.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Capacity to work on-site in Gurgaon, manage multiple proposals simultaneously, and adapt to evolving customer and market needs.
