Java Developer II

We are seeking an accomplished Java Developer II to join our Engineering department and drive the design and development of scalable, high-performance applications. You will work with a dynamic, cross-functional team delivering mission-critical solutions that power our core products and services.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications and microservices.
2. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
3. Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.
4. Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high code quality.
5. Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement timely fixes.
6. Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
7. Develop and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure software quality.
8. Document technical designs, APIs, and implementation details for internal reference.
9. Mentor junior developers and share knowledge with the broader engineering team.
10. Stay current with emerging Java technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

Requirements:

1. 5–12 years of hands-on experience in Java software development.
2.



Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 8 or later) and object-oriented design principles.
3. Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data) or equivalent Java frameworks.
4. Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
5. Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL.
6. Experience working with build tools and dependency management (Maven or Gradle).
7. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
8. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices.
9. Solid problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
10. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their managed services.
2. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
3. Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven/messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
4. Familiarity with front-end technologies (React, Angular, or Vue.js) for full-stack development.
5. Performance tuning and profiling experience for high-throughput applications.
6. Relevant Java or cloud certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, AWS Developer).
