Role Description The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chengalpattu. This role involves overseeing end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, and exit processes for academic and non-academic staff.

The Human Resources

Manager will develop and implement HR policies, ensure compliance with labor laws and institutional regulations, and support leadership in workforce planning and organizational development. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing HR documentation and systems, handling employee relations and grievance resolution, coordinating training and development initiatives, and supporting compensation and benefits administration.



The role requires close collaboration with department heads to align HR practices with the university’s strategic goals and to foster an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and HR policy implementation.
- Knowledge of labor laws, regulatory compliance, and best practices in higher education or service-oriented organizations.
- Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS), MS Office tools, and data-driven HR reporting and analytics.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability in organizational development, change management, and designing employee engagement and training programs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant HR certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an HR Manager or in a similar senior HR role, preferably in an educational institution or large multi-stakeholder organization.
- Strong ethical standards, commitment to equity and inclusion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
