Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fixed Asset Accountant role based in Gurugram.

The Fixed Asset

Accountant will manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and transfers, ensuring accurate and timely recording in the fixed asset register.

Responsibilities include preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling fixed asset accounts, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. The role involves reviewing asset-related transactions, coordinating with operations and procurement teams to validate asset additions,



and ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards.

The Fixed Asset

Accountant will also assist in preparing supporting schedules for financial statements, responding to audit queries, and providing analytical insights on asset utilization and costs to the finance leadership.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of fixed assets accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset register management.
- Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Experience with financial statements, including preparation of asset-related schedules and support for audits.
- Solid understanding of finance principles and ability to work with cross-functional teams on asset and cost-related matters.
- Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret asset data, identify variances, and provide actionable insights.
- Comfort working with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA) are an advantage.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced workplace.
- Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative work approach.
