What You Will Own

· Set the pod's technical direction within the architecture and data standards defined by the Principal Engineers.

· Own sprint commitments, engineering execution, release readiness, and early escalation of delivery or technical risks.

· Lead design reviews and contribute code to complex, high-risk, or critical-path work.

· Maintain quality across the current Java and Wildfly platform and the Spring Boot and Angular modernization roadmap.

· Coach senior, medior, junior, and Quality Engineers through explicit expectations, regular feedback, and development plans.

· Ensure production issues are diagnosed with the L3 pod and resolved by the pod that owns the affected capability.

· Use engineering metrics such as lead time, escaped defects, automation coverage, reliability, and rework to improve delivery.

What You Bring

· 10+ years of hands-on software engineering with strong Java 11 or later experience.

· 2+ years leading an engineering team with accountability for delivery and technical quality.

· Strong Spring Boot experience across REST APIs, security, data access, configuration, and testing.

· Practical Angular and TypeScript experience building or guiding enterprise frontend delivery.

· Experience with Java EE application servers such as JBoss Wildfly and with Hibernate or JPA.

· Strong SQL and relational data skills; SQL Server experience is preferred.

· Experience with CI/CD, Git, Maven, containers, automated testing, and production support practices.

· Clear written and verbal communication with Product, Architecture, DevOps, Delivery, and Support teams.

Visionetis hiring Engineering Leads to own the technical direction, engineering quality, people development, and delivery reliability of product capability pods. The platform supports US financial services workflows and is being modernized from a mature Java EE architecture toward Spring Boot services and Angular.

This is a hands-on full-stack player-coach role. You will guide design and delivery across the application stack, remain close to the code, and build a pod that can own its capability from discovery through production support. Product, Delivery, DevOps, and Support are partner teams; engineering accountability for design, implementation, testing, and operability remains with the pod.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no permanent delivery squad. You will unblock difficult migrations, create reusable implementation patterns, pair with pods on early slices, and help Engineering Leads plan modernization alongside feature delivery.
