About 8OL Robotics 8OL Robotics develops robotics, unmanned systems, and advanced embedded electronics, taking products from engineering development through manufacturing and deployment.

Role We are looking for a hands-on Electronics & Embedded Engineer who can support both electronics development and production.

The role involves basic EDA/PCB design, embedded firmware, board bring-up, debugging, testing, and production support. You will work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to turn designs into reliable, working products.

Responsibilities

- Create and modify basic schematics and PCB layouts.
- Review PCB designs for manufacturability and assembly.
- Generate and maintain BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
- Assemble, inspect, test, and debug electronic boards.
- Perform board bring-up and troubleshoot hardware using a multimeter, oscilloscope, and other test equipment.
- Write and modify basic embedded firmware.
- Work with microcontrollers and common interfaces such as UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, PWM, and GPIO.
- Program and configure production boards.
- Develop basic automated tests and production test procedures.
- Diagnose hardware and firmware issues and work with senior engineers on complex problems.
- Support PCB assembly, rework, production testing, and failure analysis.
- Document hardware changes, firmware changes, test procedures,



and production issues.
- Help improve electronics manufacturing and testing processes.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of digital and analog electronics.
- Basic experience with schematic capture and PCB layout/EDA tools.
- Basic programming experience in C/C or a similar embedded language.
- Understanding of microcontrollers and basic embedded systems.
- Ability to use a multimeter and oscilloscope for debugging.
- Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and PCB layouts.
- Solid practical problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work hands-on with hardware and production equipment.
- High ownership and attention to detail.

Preferred
- Experience with STM32, ESP32, or similar microcontrollers.
- Experience with KiCad, Altium, EasyEDA, or similar EDA tools.
- Experience with PCB assembly, soldering, rework, or electronics manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Git and basic software development workflows.
- Experience with robotics, drones, motor controllers, sensors, or other embedded systems.
- Experience developing production test fixtures or automated hardware tests.
