Role: Automation Engineer Intern – Quality Engineering

Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automation Engineer Intern. The intern will support the design, development, and execution of automated test solutions to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance. This role offers hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, scripting, and modern software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Assist in creating and enhancing test automation frameworks and reusable test components.
- Analyze functional requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA engineers to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration and automated test execution.
- Generate test execution reports and communicate testing status to stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Engineering practice.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC.
- Understanding of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Basic knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Understanding of databases and SQL queries.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.




- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is beneficial.

Educational Qualification

- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
