- Responsible for design and development of Mechanical parts in sheet metal, plastic, Aluminium die casting and packaging for consumer lighting products
- Responsible for Risk assessment through different tools like DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effective Analysis), DFSS (Design for Six Sigma tools) during new product development.
- Knowledge of SBD (Simulation based design tools) and application of the same during new product development.
- Contributes to preparation of VPH (Value Proportionate House) and CTQ (Critical to Quality) for Sales and Marketing.
- Understanding customer requirements for Consumer Lighting (Trade) segment and convert those requirements to technical specifications and Concept (design & development) in collaboration with planning team to customize as per local needs.
- Responsible for bringing new creative ideas / technology to develop products for Consumer Lighting segment
- Responsible for development of new products based on marketing road map process, Tooling,



Acceptance criteria, Test method for all new product along with Documentation.
- Releasing of the design & development documents to Concern CFT member
- Responsible for Preparing Documentation for design registration & patents.
- Responsible for Maintaining details of existing product portfolio and evaluating /implementing changes/upgradation using proper process.
- The position works very closely with cross functional teams: Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing.
- Develop creative solutions with long term implications for product design/ product development, serviceability, production facilities etc.
- Command on relevant technology, feasibility of component/module /, manufacturability and application.
- Resolves technical issues within team and with suppliers
