Role overview

We are looking for a Power BI / Data Analyst to own our reporting and turn sales, customer and stock data into dashboards people rely on every day. You will design data models, build Power BI reports, and work with teams across the business to answer their biggest questions.

Key responsibilities

Power BI development

- Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for leadership, stores and head office teams.
- Write transparent, efficient DAX measures and use Power Query to shape data.
- Publish and manage reports in the Power BI Service, including workspaces, apps, scheduled refresh and gateways.
- Set up row-level security so people see only the data they should.

Data modelling and SQL

- Build star-schema data models that are fast, accurate and easy to reuse.
- Write and optimise SQL queries to pull data from EPOS, e-commerce, stock and finance systems.
- Work with IT or data engineers to improve data pipelines and data quality.

Analysis and insight

- Analyse sales, margin, customer and stock trends, and explain what is driving them.
- Track promotions, new product launches and store performance.
- Turn findings into clear recommendations for decision-makers.

Working with the business





- Gather reporting requirements and turn them into practical solutions.
- Train colleagues to use dashboards and self-serve their own questions.
- Prioritise requests and manage expectations on timelines.

Governance and support

- Maintain a single, trusted set of KPI definitions across reports.
- Document data models, measures and data sources.
- Support and guide the Junior Data Analyst.

Qualifications and experience

Essential

- [2–4] years' experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst or Power BI Developer.
- Strong Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
- Good SQL skills for querying and transforming data.
- Experience publishing and managing reports in the Power BI Service.
- Experience working directly with business users to gather requirements.

Desirable

- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or similar.
- Experience in retail, e-commerce or another multi-site business.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure or another cloud data platform.
- Some knowledge of Python or R.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹130,000.00 per month
