Compensation & Benefits Analyst

VERTEX INDIA

Help Shape the Rewards Experience Behind Vertex India's Growth

Vertex is a Cloud SaaS software company that designs, builds, and operates solutions that help global enterprises manage tax determination, compliance, e-invoicing, reporting, filing, and audit readiness. Our products sit in the critical path of global commerce and are trusted by some of the world's largest organizations.

We are looking for a Compensation & Benefits Analyst to help deliver the rewards programs and insights that enable Vertex to attract, retain, and reward talent as our organization continues to grow.

This is a role for someone who brings together analytical strength, Total Rewards expertise, and practical business judgment. You will work across compensation and benefits, using market, employee, and financial data to inform decisions while partnering with People & Culture, Finance, Payroll, and other teams to deliver programs employees and leaders can understand and trust.

This is an opportunity to do more than analyze compensation and benefits. You will help turn data into decisions and programs into an employee experience that supports Vertex's people and business.

What You Will Be Accountable For

- Independently manage assigned compensation and benefits programs, processes, and client-group support.
- Conduct job evaluations, market pricing, pay analysis, plan modeling, and benefits cost and utilization analysis to support sound, data-driven decisions.
- Advise People & Culture partners and managers on pay decisions, job architecture, program provisions, and consistent application of Total Rewards practices.
- Lead defined workstreams across annual compensation, incentive, enrollment, renewal, and vendor-management cycles.
- Analyze employee,

market, and financial data to identify trends, risks, root causes, and recommended actions.
- Translate complex Total Rewards concepts into clear program communications, manager guidance, training, and decision-support materials.
- Partner across Finance, Legal, Payroll, HRIS, Operations, and external providers to implement effective solutions.
- Monitor program effectiveness and compliance, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend changes to program design or processes.

What Success Looks Like

- Compensation and benefits programs are executed accurately, consistently, and effectively.
- Leaders and People & Culture partners have clear data and guidance to make informed pay and rewards decisions.
- Market and workforce insights identify emerging issues and opportunities before they become problems.
- Annual compensation, incentive, benefits, and renewal processes are well managed across stakeholders.
- Employees and managers receive clear, practical information that helps them understand Total Rewards programs.
- Analysis goes beyond reporting data to provide meaningful insights and recommended actions.
- Total Rewards processes become simpler, more scalable, and more effective as Vertex grows.

What You Bring

- 4–6 years of progressive compensation, benefits, or Total Rewards experience.

- Broad working knowledge of compensation and advantages programs and how they interact across the employee lifecycle.
- Ability to independently perform market pricing, compensation analysis, plan modeling, and benefits analysis.
- Strong quantitative, spreadsheet, data-quality, and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of job architecture, salary structures, incentive plans, and benefits delivery.
- Strong consulting and communication skills, with the ability to make technical Total Rewards concepts understandable to non-specialist audiences.
- Ability to solve moderately complex problems using data, policy, and sound judgment.
- Project and process-management skills with the ability to coordinate work across multiple stakeholders.
- The judgment and discretion required to work with sensitive employee and compensation information.
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- CCP, CEBS, or a comparable certification is beneficial but not required.

Why Vertex, Why Now

Vertex sits at the intersection of technology, global commerce, tax, and compliance. As the company continues to grow and evolve, how we attract, reward, and retain great talent will be an important part of building the organization for the future.

This role is for someone who wants more than a traditional analyst position. It is an opportunity to combine analytics with business partnership, contribute to important rewards decisions, strengthen the employee experience, and help build scalable Total Rewards practices for a growing global organization.

Vertex is committed to building inclusive teams where people can contribute their unique talents and perspectives.
