Hinjewadi, Pune Work Hours: 2:00 PM–11:00 PM IST Joining: Immediate joiners preferred / As soon as available Role Overview We are looking for a highly reliable Senior SQL Server Developer to serve as the Primary Production SQL Owner for our healthcare SaaS platform running on AWS RDS for SQL Server. This is a hands-on role requiring:
• Designing, writing, and optimizing complex T-SQL stored procedures for critical business workflows.
• Diagnosing live production performance issues in real time, including blocking, high CPU, memory pressure, and slow queries in a busy OLTP system while US customers are online.

Key Responsibilities
– SQL Development
• Design, write, debug, and maintain complex T-SQL stored procedures for critical business workflows.
• Deliver new database logic and enhancements in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Refactor and optimize stored procedures through query rewrites, execution plan analysis, indexing, statistics, and parameter sniffing fixes.
• Perform controlled,



well-documented production data fixes and investigate data discrepancies. Mandatory Requirements
• 8+ years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server development experience with high-volume OLTP/transactional databases (not data warehouse/BI).
• Expert-level T-SQL skills, including complex stored procedures, functions, transactions, error handling, and writing new logic—not just reviewing code.
• Proven real-time production troubleshooting

skills:
blocking chains, wait statistics (sys.dm_os_wait_stats), deadlocks, and lock contention.
• Experience diagnosing high CPU, high memory utilization, and slow query incidents using DMVs, Query Store, and execution plans.
• Strong indexing strategy skills, including diagnosing and mitigating parameter sniffing.
• Proven experience performing safe, audited production data fixes in live transactional environments.
• Strong production support and incident response experience.
• Experience working US shifts or in a global support environment.
• Robust hands-on T-SQL development is mandatory, along with the ability to diagnose live production incidents in real time.
