- Hyderabad Senior Backend / Microservices Engineer (AI Integration) ? Role Overview We are seeking a talented Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate robust microservices on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), with Claude AI (Anthropic API) woven directly into our core product workflows. In this role, you will own critical services end-to-end across our meeting, SMS/messaging, and vendor-integration platforms. You will play a pivotal role in driving our ongoing migration from monolithic components into a cleanly decoupled, highly scalable service architecture. ? What You’ll Do
• Microservices Development: Design, build, and operate resilient microservices written in Python and/or Node.js and deployed to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• AI Integration: Seamlessly integrate the Anthropic API (Claude) into core product features—managing prompt design, tool use, and the reliable handling/parsing of model responses.
• Domain Ownership: Build and maintain high-performance services spanning our internal meeting, SMS, and vendor-facing domains.
• Monolith Decoupling: Lead ongoing architectural migration efforts by carving well-bounded services out of existing legacy systems, defining clean APIs and event contracts, and safely managing data and traffic migration with minimal disruption.
• Vendor & API Integration: Integrate third-party vendor APIs (telephony, SMS, and meeting platforms) with a strict focus on system resilience, fault tolerance,



and graceful degradation.
• DevOps & Reliability: Take full ownership of the observability, performance, and on-call reliability of the services you ship. ?️ Required Qualifications
• Backend Expertise: Robust production-grade experience using Python and/or Node.js to build scalable backend services and robust APIs.
• Containers & Orchestration: Hands-on, production-level experience working with Docker containers and Kubernetes (direct experience with AKS is a major plus).
• Microservices Fundamentals: Solid understanding of modern architecture principles, including service boundaries, asynchronous/event-driven patterns, inter-service communication, and API versioning.
• API & Failure Handling: High level of comfort integrating third-party and AI APIs, with a proven ability to architect systems around rate limits, backoff retries, and complex failure modes.
• Cloud & CI/CD: Familiarity with the Azure ecosystem (or a comparable major cloud provider), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). ? Nice to Have
• Direct experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs like Claude or OpenAI) into real-world, user-facing products.
• Prior experience with telephony/SMS APIs (e.g., Twilio) or meeting/video platforms (e.g., Zoom Developer Platform).
• A proven track record of successfully breaking up monoliths or leading major system decoupling and data migration work.
• Experience implementing event streaming and message brokers like Apache Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
