Role Description This Full-time Electrical Design Engineer role is an in office position based in Chengalpattu.
- Prepare electrical schematics, control circuit diagrams, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD.
- Design electrical control panels and prepare panel layout drawings for SPM machines.
- Select electrical components such as MCB, MCCB, contactors, relays, SMPS, VFDs, servo drives, and circuit breakers.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and electrical component specifications.
- Work with PLC, HMI, sensors, solenoid valves, and other automation devices.
- Coordinate with the Mechanical Design Team to ensure proper integration of electrical and mechanical designs and power calculation of AC and DC & Heat Calculation.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to finalize component mounting locations, sensor positions, cable routing, and machine layout requirements.
- Review mechanical drawings to identify suitable locations for electrical components and sensors.
- Coordinate with the PLC Programming Team for I/O requirements, wiring details, and machine functionality.




- Support panel wiring, machine electrical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Revise electrical drawings based on project requirements and design changes.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with project specifications and applicable safety standards.
- Coordinate with production, assembly, and project teams to complete projects on time. Technical

• Experience in Design Engineering for special purpose machines, robotic systems, or automated production lines.
• Knowledge of Power Distribution in manufacturing environments, including safety and regulatory compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with CAD tools for electrical schematics (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical or similar).
• Familiarity with PLC, HMI, and industrial communication systems; ability to work closely with controls engineers.
• Understanding of industrial safety standards and best practices for machine and operator safety.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams on-site.
