C++ Developer – VoIP / FreeSWITCH

Minimum 8 Years of Relevant Experience Employment Type: C2C (Corp-to-Corp) Work Mode: Remote Job Overview seeking a talented and experienced C++ Developer with strong hands-on expertise in server-side application development, VoIP technologies, and real-time communication systems. The selected candidate will join the Voice Application team and contribute to enhancing and extending the company's UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) platform. The role involves developing and maintaining VoIP server functionalities, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and contributing to system design and architecture.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, customize, and enhance the VoIP server platform, including calling, IVR, voicemail, and contact center functionalities.
• Work on FreeSWITCH development, customization, and integration for real-time communication solutions.
• Design, develop, and optimize server-side applications using C++17.
• Develop and maintain Linux-based applications and daemon processes.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues using GDB, core dumps, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
• Implement multithreaded applications, network programming, and socket-based communication.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design, performance optimization, and production issue resolution.
• Understand, analyze, and enhance existing codebases while ensuring application reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust voice communication solutions. Required Skills
• FreeSWITCH: Mandatory hands-on experience in development,



customization, and integration.
• C++17: Solid programming knowledge, including STL and Boost libraries.
• Linux Development: Experience developing Linux-based applications and daemons.
• Debugging: Proficiency in GDB, core dump analysis, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
• Multithreading: Strong understanding of multithreaded applications and synchronization primitives.
• Network Programming: Experience with sockets, TCP, and UDP.
• Object-Oriented Programming: Strong understanding of OOP principles and software design.
• Build & Scripting Tools: Working knowledge of Bash and Make.
• Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Ability to read, understand, debug, and modify existing code. Desired Skills
• Experience with communication protocols: SIP, RTP/RTCP, SRTP/SRTCP, WebRTC, and AMQP.
• Experience with media servers such as FreeSWITCH and Asterisk.
• Knowledge of RTP media handling, call routing, transcoding, conferencing, and real-time media processing.
• Familiarity with Python scripting.
• Experience with libraries such as libcURL, libsrtp, and Google Protocol Buffers (Protobuf). Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience developing reliable, scalable, and high-performance server applications.
• Strong debugging skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues. Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must have hands-on FreeSWITCH development and integration experience along with strong C++ and Linux development skills.
