Role Description The Lead – Electrical Engineering role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The person in this role will lead the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for underwater robotic platforms, including power distribution, control electronics, and sensor interfaces. Responsibilities include owning electrical architecture, reviewing schematics and PCB designs, guiding component selection, and ensuring system reliability in harsh marine environments. The Lead will collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting during lab validation and sea trials.



The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, establishing best practices for electrical safety and compliance, and contributing to documentation, design reviews, and continuous improvement of product performance. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and electricity, with the ability to design and analyze complex electrical systems.
• HANDS ON EXPERIENCE IN BATTERY CABLE ROUTING and POWER ELECTRONICS
• Proficiency in electrical design, including circuit design, PCB layout review, and power management for embedded and robotics applications.
• Demonstrated analytical skills for diagnosing issues, interpreting test data, and optimizing system performance in challenging environments.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, lead design reviews, and document requirements and test results.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience with embedded systems, motor control, and sensor integration for robotics or autonomous systems is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with marine or defence-grade standards, environmental testing, and ruggedized electronics is a plus.
• Ability to work in office in Chennai, lead project execution, and support hands-on prototyping, testing, and field deployments.
