Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Supervisor to lead product development, work on sourcing of quality raw materials, oversee trials, lay down and manage testing and QC processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Cosmetics and Perfumery, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage and innovate within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
· Product Development: Collaborate with perfumers and other cosmetics ingredients suppliers and the company’s internal product marketing teams to conceptualize, create, and refine products and fragrances for new product categories as well as existing product lines.
• Trials and Testing: Oversee product formulation trials, ensuring consistency, stability, and compliance with safety standards.
• Quality Assurance: Develop and implement rigorous testing protocols for raw materials and finished products.
• Lab Operations: Build a team and supervise lab technicians and ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including equipment maintenance and inventory management.
· Documentation:



Maintain and also supervise maintenance of accurate records of formulations, trial results, and product specifications.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on international regulations and ensure all products meet safety and compliance standards.
• Research and Innovation: Explore new fragrance trends, technologies, and materials to drive innovation in product development. Research & Development (R&D;):
• Assist in fragrance formulation, blending, and evaluation. Develop, modify, and optimize formulations for perfumes, incense, and related products. Conduct trials and provide technical support for new product development.
• Analyze fragrance performance, stability, and compatibility with different bases.
• Stay updated with industry trends, raw material innovations, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in a perfumery and / or cosmetics industry(s) lab or a related industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of Cosmetics and fragrance raw materials, formulating and blending techniques, and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with international cosmetic and fragrance regulations (e.g., IFRA, REACH).
• Proficiency in using lab equipment and software for formulation and analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Preferred Skills
• Strong expertise in perfume and cosmetic formulation, fragrance blending, product development, and sourcing of natural fragrance ingredients, essential oils, and botanical extracts.
• Knowledge of home fragrance products including incense, reed diffusers, candles, and aromatherapy products, along with sensory evaluation and fragrance testing.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance (IFRA, REACH, Cosmetic Regulations), documentation/SOP preparation, and the ability to manage multiple R&D; projects in a quick-paced manufacturing environment.
