Jaydev Group is an Ahmedabad-based import-export trading business dealing in industrial chemicals, pharmaceutical APIs and intermediates. Role: Chemical Sourcing & Procurement Executive
- full-time, office-based. What you will do:
- Handle every trade inquiry coming into the office (email, WhatsApp, phone): log it, pin down the exact requirement
- product, grade/spec, quantity, packing and destination
- and keep the inquiry tracker current.
- Source from Indian manufacturers, traders and stockists: find the right suppliers for industrial chemicals and pharma APIs/intermediates and collect firm offers with rate, taxes, packing, loading port and validity.
- Chase suppliers over phone and WhatsApp for firm rates, COA/TDS/SDS and packing details, and follow up until replies actually land.
- Compare supplier offers side by side with landed-cost workings and put a explicit recommendation in front of the partners.
- Revalidate prices and offer validity before any customer quote goes out; keep supplier records organised so no inquiry goes cold.
- Coordinate with our forwarder and CHA contacts for freight and logistics inputs when a deal needs them. Pricing, margins, final supplier selection, customer quotes and payments are decided by the partners. Your job is to do the groundwork, follow through and keep every inquiry moving.



What we are looking for:
- Proven sourcing or procurement experience is a must
- you have found suppliers, compared their offers and negotiated buying terms yourself. Ideally 1-3 years in a chemical trading firm, or the purchase/sourcing desk of a chemical or pharma company.
- Familiarity with commodity industrial chemicals (caustic soda, sulphuric acid, hydrogen peroxide, PAC, SLES, CAPB, sulphur, KCl and similar) and/or pharma APIs and intermediates.
- Can read a COA/TDS/SDS and spot a missing spec or wrong grade.
- Consistent, professional follow-up with suppliers over phone, WhatsApp and email.
- Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets and clear written English for email.
- Existing supplier contacts in Gujarat's chemical belt (Ankleshwar, Vapi, Dahej, Panoli and the GIDC estates) are a big plus.
- Basic familiarity with hazardous cargo (DG) packing or export documents is a plus, not a must. Details:
