Role Description The Assistant Manager at Zydex Paints & Waterproofing is a full-time, on-site role based in Siliguri. This role supports branch and sales operations, including managing day-to-day activities such as coordinating with sales teams, monitoring dealer and distributor performance, and ensuring timely execution of marketing and promotional initiatives. The Assistant Manager helps track sales targets, prepares periodic reports, and supports forecasting and planning to improve market penetration for Zydex’s paints and waterproofing products. Responsibilities include maintaining strong relationships with customers and channel partners, handling queries and service issues,



and ensuring adherence to company policies and quality standards. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, assisting in training and onboarding of team members, and contributing to continuous improvement of processes and customer experience. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong sales and marketing skills, including experience in paint or building materials, channel management, and basic market analysis.
• Candidates should possess operational and coordination skills, such as branch administration, reporting, planning, and follow-up with internal and external stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess customer relationship skills, including the ability to manage dealer/distributor interactions, handle customer concerns, and maintain long-term partnerships.
• Candidates should possess communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in spoken and written English and local language, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Candidates should possess basic digital and numerical skills, such as working with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and interpreting sales data and performance metrics.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field, and prior experience in paints, waterproofing, construction chemicals, or FMCG will be beneficial.
• Ability to work in office in Siliguri, travel within the region as required, and demonstrate a proactive, ethical, and safety-conscious approach aligned with Zydex’s sustainability values.
