The Eka Fellowship

Pune

Company Description: According to a study by the OECD, it takes seven generations for a low-income family in India to reach the country' s average income. Meanwhile, technology is reshaping careers, job roles are changing faster than curricula, and quality education keeps getting more expensive. For a first-generation school goer, getting through this maze takes far more than school fees. It takes career clarity, confidence, networks, and someone in their corner, year after year. Short-term interventions cannot do this. Breaking the cycle in one generation means going the distance. That is why Eka walks with every fellow for eight years, from Grade 9 to their first job. Why work at Eka? Eka is an eight-year commitment to each Fellow, from Grade 9 through their first job. That timeline shapes how we work. Decisions are made with a view to where a Fellow will be in a couple of years, not this quarter, and the people who do well here are ready to build something that they'll only see finished years from now. At Eka, we're a small team where every one is an owner of real outcomes. We trust each other and appeal to each other's best versions. We are a few years into an 8-year bet, and we hope that everyone that joins us is looking to bring their best to the team. What this role actually asks of you We're as selective about who joins the team as we are about who joins as a Fellow, so it's worth being direct about what the work demands. We'd rather bet on someone who is ready to learn and iterate than on someone making large promises at the outset. You'll own a cohort of Fellows. You'll build relationships with them and their families, become the face of Eka for that cohort and be responsible for delivering multiple modules as they move through the Fellowship. Another part is teaching, in workshops, at camps, and in the sessions in between. You'll also help shape the curriculum itself,

refining and extending what we've built as you learn what actually works with your cohort. Our Process
* We're more interested in understanding a person than simply scanning a CV. If it's a fit, you'll do an assignment drawn from real work we're facing, followed by conversations with the team, including the founders. The whole process takes about 4-6 weeks. Title Program Specialist Location Pune (In-Person) Responsibilities As a Program Specialist, you will work closely with the founding team to design and deliver key initiatives, work hands-on in delivering them to Fellows, and shape the Fellowship's direction as it enters a critical growth stage. You'll have the freedom to innovate, experiment, and shape recent ideas that strengthen the Fellowship experience and its long-term outcomes. If you thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and are motivated by the challenge of building and delivering impactful programs from the ground up, Eka offers a powerful platform to lead and innovate. Join us if you're passionate about education, leadership, and equity and want to be part of a small, dynamic team reimagining what opportunity can look like for young adults. 1. Program Leadership and Implementation Lead end-to-end implementation and delivery for a cohort of Eka Fellows, ensuring alignment with the Fellowship's outcomes. Manage priority stakeholder relationships, including initiative leads, external partners, and advisors, to ensure program coherence and long-term sustainability. Identify and cultivate new partnership and Fellowship opportunities, contributing to the growth and diversification of Eka's initiatives. Support overall strategic planning, including annual goal-setting and program reviews. 2.
