About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our Australian client servicing team. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on expertise in Australian taxation, including individual and business tax returns, BAS/GST compliance, and liaison with Australian accounting standards and ATO regulations. This role requires someone who can work independently, mentor junior associates, and maintain high accuracy and SLA compliance while servicing Australian clients from our Ahmedabad office.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review Income Tax Returns (ITR), Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), and Goods and Services Tax (GST) for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
• Manage BAS (Business Activity Statement) and GST compliance, including preparation, review, and lodgement support.
• Review financial statements, general ledgers, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of tax positions.




• Liaise with Australian-based accounting firms/clients to clarify queries, gather documentation, and provide status updates.
• Ensure all tax filings and workpapers comply with Australian taxation law and internal quality standards.
• Apply sound knowledge of Division 7A, Franking Credits, and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) while preparing, reviewing, and advising on tax matters to ensure compliance with Australian tax laws.
• Monitor changes in Australian tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to the team.
• Review and mentor junior tax associates, providing technical guidance and quality checks on their work.
• Maintain and track SLA compliance and turnaround times for all assigned client work.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy in tax preparation workflows.
• Coordinate with the payroll and accounting teams to ensure consistency in client financial data.
