Tech Employment Type: Project-Based / Contractual ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for a skilled and motivated AI/ML Specialist to contribute to an ICMR-funded research project. The candidate will work on machine learning, deep learning, and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies to support research objectives and develop intelligent, data-driven solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design, train, fine-tune, and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models.
· Apply AI/ML techniques to research problems and real-world datasets.
· Work with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and prompt engineering.
· Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and integrate LLMs into research applications.
· Perform data preprocessing, cleaning, analysis, and feature engineering.
· Evaluate models using appropriate performance metrics and optimize their accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
· Deploy trained AI/ML models and LLM-based solutions using suitable inference frameworks and APIs..
· Maintain technical documentation, experiment records, and model evaluation reports. REQUIRED SKILLS
· Programming: Solid proficiency in Python.




· Machine Learning & Deep Learning: Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, model training, validation, and evaluation.
· AI Frameworks: Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, or scikit-learn.
· LLMs & Generative AI: Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, .
· Data Analysis: Working knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, and data preprocessing techniques.
· Model Deployment: Familiarity with FastAPI, Flask, REST APIs, Docker, and Linux-based environments.
· Development Tools: Git/GitHub, debugging, and problem-solving skills. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
· Experience in deep learning, computer vision, or Generative AI.
· Familiarity with LLM fine-tuning, RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases.
· Experience deploying AI/ML models for real-world or research applications.
· Experience in healthcare AI, biomedical research, or medical image analysis will be an added advantage.
