Role Description The Medical Coder role at ITOC Global is a full time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Medical Coder will review clinical documentation and assign accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services in accordance with established coding guidelines and payer requirements. Daily responsibilities include validating documentation, ensuring coding accuracy and completeness, and collaborating with clinical and billing teams to resolve coding queries. The role involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology,



coding standards, and regulatory changes, while meeting productivity and quality benchmarks. The Medical Coder will also support audit activities, contribute to process improvements, and help maintain compliance with organizational and industry standards. Qualifications
• Coding Experience and Medical Coding skills, with the ability to accurately assign codes for a range of clinical specialties.
• Knowledge of Health Information Management practices, including documentation standards and data integrity requirements.
• Strong understanding of Medical Terminology to interpret clinical documentation effectively.
• Relevant certification such as RHIT or equivalent credential in health information or medical coding is preferred.
• Attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work with electronic health records and coding software.
• Ability to meet productivity and quality targets, work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain confidentiality.
• Diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related healthcare field is beneficial.
