The Opportunity As a Consultant Specialist
- GCP Engineer you’ll develop and support data ingestion feeds and enhancements that underpin key business needs. You’ll work within an existing ingestion framework, translating business rules and requirements into robust engineering changes. The role spans development, production support and the promotion of releases within agreed timelines. You’ll also look for practical ways to use technology to support the wider business roadmap. Success means reliable, well-documented data pipelines, smooth production releases and continuous improvement in how the team delivers.



What you'll be doing
• Develop and support new feed ingestion aligned to business rules and requirements
• Enhance and maintain changes across Data Ingestion and Juniper
• Promote releases and support changes in the production environment within agreed timelines
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology in support of the business roadmap
• Embed Agile ways of working within pods by removing delivery impediments
• Develop team capability by creating learning opportunities for junior colleagues
• Produce clear documentation covering requirements, solutions, processes and data flows What we're looking for
• Apply sound hands-on understanding of GCP, PySpark and BigQuery
• Bring working experience across ETL, Hadoop and Hive QL
• Learn Data Ingestion, Data Refinery, Common Data Model and Compdata frameworks quickly and apply them to delivery
• Adapt to current technologies and incorporate them into day-to-day engineering work
• Partner effectively with stakeholders using strong communication and influencing skills
• Use a structured approach to problem solving with close attention to detail
• Create high-quality documentation for requirements,
