Role & responsibilities
- Lead new product development of ductile iron (SG iron) and gray iron castings.
- Expertise in casting tool design and development, including patterns and core boxes.
- In-depth knowledge of metallurgy, chemical composition, inoculation, and heat treatment of ductile and gray iron.
- Optimize casting processes, gating, risering, and solidification.
- Troubleshoot casting defects and reduce rejection through process improvement.
- Coordinate with customers, design, tooling, production, and quality teams for successful product development and launch.
Preferred candidate profile
An experienced foundry skilled with robust expertise in NPD, ductile and gray iron casting development, tool design, and foundry metallurgy. Should possess proven abilities in casting process optimization, defect analysis, customer coordination, and leading product development projects.
