We are looking for a seasoned operations and business leader with extensive experience in the publishing industry to lead our Publishing Services function. This role offers an opportunity to drive business growth, build new service lines, expand into new markets, and deliver operational excellence for global publishing clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive revenue growth through strategic upselling, cross-selling, and client retention.
- Build and scale new service lines, particularly in peer review services.
- Identify opportunities to expand into current geographies and strengthen market presence.
- Lead growth initiatives across journals, books, and peer review workflows.
- Build strategic partnerships and represent the organisation at industry events.
- Drive operational excellence, process optimisation, and service delivery.
- Partner with technology teams to implement automation and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead RFP/RFI responses and contribute to new business acquisition.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.





What Were Looking For

- 15+ years of experience in operations and business management, preferably within the publishing industry.
- Strong expertise in peer review services, including workflows, tools, and client engagement.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-level client relationships and international publishers.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling service lines, teams, and operations.
- Strong business acumen, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in data-driven decision-making and performance analysis.
- Strong understanding of publishing workflows, technology, and process automation.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA or an advanced technical degree would be an advantage.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management certifications are desirable.
