Position: Manager Underwriting

Job Summary/ Job Opportunity:

The Manager Insurance & Reinsurance Operations is responsible for overseeing end-to-end insurance and
reinsurance operations across the policy, submission, and claims lifecycle. The role involves managing client
deliverables, ensuring operational excellence, driving process improvements, and leading teams responsible for
policy administration, underwriting support, submissions processing, and claims management.
The person will act as a key contact between brokers, insurers, reinsurers, underwriters, claims teams, and other
stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of insurance and reinsurance transactions while
maintaining compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and regulatory requirements.

Key Objectives and Major Responsibilities:
• Support activity across new business, placement preparation, documentation, and account servicing
• Prepare and maintain client, market, and internal materials to support broking activity
• Organize information and maintain accurate records across systems and business documents
• Review correspondence and supporting documentation to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and follow-up actions
• Support due diligence, compliance-related activity, and documentation management requirements
• Track workflow milestones, business records, and deadlines to support timely execution
• Help complete file finalization and handoff activities in line with process standards
• Maintain quality control across data, documents, and process steps, escalating issues where appropriate
• Support internal reviews, audits, and other business control activities as needed
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across teams and regions to improve consistency and delivery quality
• Review reinsurance documentation, contracts, and placement records.
• Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams to achieve productivity, quality,



and turnaround time targets
• Drive process improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and controls.Key Capabilities and Competencies

Experience & Profile

• Experience in insurance/reinsurance operations, broking support, claim support, client servicing, business
analysis, or a similar role preferred
• Strong knowledge of Reinsurance FAC process
• Strong PowerPoint skills, including experience building, formatting, updating, and quality checking
presentation materials
• Good working knowledge of insurance or reinsurance concepts, terminology, and documentation

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skill• High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to quality and process execution
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written English and professional communication skills
• Confidence working independently and collaborating across teams and regionsSkills
•Excellent time management skills are needed as this role involves super tight delivery deadlines.

- Qualification and Experience

Recognized with a UG or PG degree.
Must hold at least 4 to 5 years of experience for A.M role & more than 6 years of experience for
Manager in the insurance/reinsurance industry.
