Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Job Purpose:

100% customer-facing position. The primary purpose is to provide day-to-day operations support of the client's security infrastructure or day-to-day monitoring, management, and response to security events.

Essential Functions:

75% - Perform day-to-day management of the security infrastructure within their area of expertise and/or Perform incident/event/detection response and analysis of security events in the enterprise. 10% - Participate and/or ownership of project improvement efforts including infrastructure upgrades, automation development, implementation/testing of recent systems. Processes, or techniques, documentations, etc. directly related to the team's goals and effectiveness. 10% - Interact routinely with technology team leadership (i.e. senior security engineer and/or Team Lead) 5% - Assist with the documentation of procedures for security infrastructure within their area of expertise.

Position Description:

The Network Security Engineer with Zscaler Exp (Level 2 and Level 3) is responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, and supporting network security infrastructure and application components.

Responsibilities:
* Maintain a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking and WAN.
* Designing, deploying and supporting Zscaler Cloud based Infrastructure across various environments
* Manage and configure ZScaler proxy devices

* Support Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
* Configure policies on Cloud Based Zscaler Proxy service in tandem with various application owners.
* Understand the Traffic Flows for both Https (web Traffic)



standard and custom application-based traffic and accordingly design solution around it for Firewalling and Proxy services.
* Whitelisting IP space for various Project team to access external vendors access to ensure safe and secure connectivity.
* Work on Cisco, Checkpoint, & Palo Alto Zone based Firewalls to create Zones and Policies for various segment of the network and accordingly troubleshoot any connectivity issues thereof across various Security Zones.

* Provides network systems Engineering support to users for: Cisco ASA, Checkpoint and Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Big IP load Balancers.
* Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.

* Administer web policies using Zscaler Admin Portal according to customer guidelines
* Work with internal applications teams and design and implement appropriate network solutions
* Provide Technical Support for issues escalated by Level 1 Operations
* Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTPS, VPN, SSL Certificates, SSL Cipher Suites.
* Coordinates activities with other system areas and vendors, and deals with network security systems planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing and servicing.

Experience:

4 to 15 years of experience as IT Security Engineer Cyber-Security Analyst, Cyber-Intelligence Analyst Security Systems Engineer Security Analyst

Wireshark, HTTP Header Traces, PAC file configuration, Fiddler

Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:

One or more of the following certifications dependent on the actual role.
