Position: Biomedical Engineer (Hospital)
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and maintain medical equipment (e.g., ventilators, monitors, imaging systems)
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and calibration of devices
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment quickly to avoid disruptions in patient care
- Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards and regulations
- Maintain records of equipment performance, maintenance, and repairs
- Coordinate with vendors for servicing and procurement of new equipment
- Train doctors, nurses, and staff on proper use of medical devices
- Assist in planning and procurement of current biomedical equipment
- Monitor inventory and lifecycle of hospital equipment
