The Python Applications Support Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of Python-based applications, particularly those involving scientific formulas and calculations.

This position requires a deep understanding of Python programming, coupled with expertise in troubleshooting and supporting complex applications.

The candidate will collaborate closely with development teams and end-users to address issues, implement enhancements, and optimize application performance.

This Python Applications Support Specialist role requires a blend of technical expertise in Python programming and scientific computing, coupled with solid communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Preferred candidate profile

'Application Support: Provide technical support for Python-based applications, including troubleshooting issues, resolving user queries, and addressing performance bottlenecks.

Incident Management: Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLAs. Investigate root causes of issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Enhancement Implementation: Work with development teams to implement enhancements and new features in Python applications. Conduct thorough testing to ensure quality and compatibility.





Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities for performance optimization in Python applications, especially those involving scientific formulas and calculations. Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for supported applications, including troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and best practices.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data scientists, and end-users, to understand requirements, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Knowledge:-

Python Programming: Advanced proficiency in Python programming, with experience in working with scientific libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and Pandas for mathematical computations and data analysis.

Application Support: Strong understanding of application support processes, incident management, and troubleshooting methodologies.

Scientific Computing: Knowledge of scientific computing principles and techniques, including numerical methods, simulations, and statistical analysis.
