Job Summary

An ITI Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, wiring, machinery, and equipment to ensure safe and productive operation in industrial, commercial, or residential environments.

- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and electrical machines.
- Knowledge of AC/DC motors, transformers, and electrical panels.
- Ability to use a multimeter, clamp meter, and megger.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical safety procedures.
- Teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Role & responsibilities

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, motors, panels, and equipment.
- Perform electrical wiring, cable laying, and cable termination.




- Assist in the installation and maintenance of electrical control panels and distribution boards.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and identify the causes of equipment failures.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Check voltage, current, continuity, and insulation using electrical testing instruments.
- Read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit diagrams.
- Maintain motors, starters, contactors, relays, MCBs, MCCBs, and other electrical components.
- Follow electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and PPE requirements.
- Maintain maintenance records and report faults to supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and electrical regulations.
