Key Responsibilities - End-to-End DWDM Project Ownership

- Own DWDM projects from design to final handover

- Network architecture & solution design

- BOQ/BOM validation

- Implementation, integration, commissioning, and Link AT

- Customer sign-off and documentation

DWDM Design, Engineering & Link Planning

- Design metro, long-haul, and DCI DWDM networks

- ROADM-based architectures

- C-band / C+L band systems

- 100G / 400G coherent wavelength solutions

- Optical link engineering, power budgeting, OSNR, CD, PMD analysis

Link Acceptance Testing (AT) & Optical Validation

- Lead end-to-end Link Acceptance Testing

- Define test plans and acceptance criteria

- Execute fiber characterization and certification

- Ensure compliance with customer and OEM standards

Optical Test & Measurement Expertise

- OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer)

- Optical Power Meters

- Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA)

- Variable Optical Attenuators (VOA)

- BER testing and optical performance monitoring

Cisco & Ciena Platform Expertise

Cisco Platforms:

- NCS 1004, NCS 1010, NCS 1014

- ONS platforms, ZR/ZR+ optics

Ciena Platforms:

- 6500 series, Waveserver platforms

- Coherent optics and DCI solutions

Troubleshooting & Optimization





- L3 escalation for optical layer issues

- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

- Power balancing and OSNR optimization

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

- Primary technical interface for customers

- Lead design reviews and acceptance discussions

- Participate in high-level technical meetings

Governance, Documentation & Mentoring

- Review HLD/LLD, MOPs, test procedures

- Approve AT reports and as-built documents

- Mentor L1/L2 engineers

Mandatory Skills

- Strong DWDM and optical transport fundamentals

- Hands-on experience with Cisco & Ciena DWDM

- Optical testing and Link AT expertise

Good to Have

- Hyperscaler DCI experience (Microsoft preferred)

- Multi-country project exposure

- Cisco / Ciena certifications

- PMP / ITIL exposure
