Associate Software Engineer Applications (1 2 Years)

Position Overview

Salzer Technologies is hiring an Associate Software Engineer to join our shadow resource program supporting the project. This is a growth role designed to create ramp-free continuity for the account.

Key Responsibilities

- Shadow senior engineers on active pods: attend standups,



sprint ceremonies, and code reviews.

- Learn the application codebase across web (PHP, JavaScript, React) and mobile (Flutter / React Native) surfaces.

- Build features and fixes in a training/sandbox capacity under mentor review before taking live tickets.

- Develop skills on modernization stack: React/Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, REST APIs, SQL Server/MySQL.

- Practice AI-assisted development workflows (Cursor) per team standards.

- Document learnings and contribute to knowledge-transfer materials.

Required Qualifications

- 1 2 years of software development experience (internships and project work count toward this).

- Solid fundamentals in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and at least one of React, Node.js, or PHP.

- Working knowledge of SQL and REST APIs.

- Familiarity with Git-based version control.

- Strong learning attitude, good communication, and comfort working in Agile teams (Jira/Confluence).

Nice to Have

- Exposure to Flutter, React Native, or Kotlin for mobile development.

- Exposure to TypeScript, Next.js, Material UI, or Tailwind.

- Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude).

- Understanding of CI/CD basics (GitHub Actions).

Location & Engagement

Chennai, India (offshore). Full time. The resource will join Salzer s shadow resource program supporting the account a structured ramp-up path with mentoring from senior pod members, hands-on codebase experience, and progression to an active pod role based on performance.
