Role summary

We have just acquired a 5-axis CNC machine and need a motivated CAM Operator to own it endtoend:

CAM programming, setup, machining and inspection of precision components. Beyond the machine, youwill support wider in-house manufacturing, prototyping and fabrication work as needs arise.

This is ahands-on role for someone who likes turning a drawing into a finished, accurate part.

Key responsibilities

5-axis CNC and CAM

- Create toolpaths in RhinoCAM (3+2 and simultaneous 5-axis) from 3D models and drawings
- Select tooling, work-holding, feeds and speeds; generate and verify post-processed G-code
- Run simulation and collision checks before every cut
- Set up the machine, work offsets and tool lengths; run first-article and production parts
- Machine metals and plastics used in medical devices, such as stainless steel, titanium, aluminium and engineering polymers
- Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, height gauges and CMM or similar equipment against drawing tolerances
- Perform routine machine maintenance, coolant and tool-life management, and report faults early

Required qualifications and skills

- Diploma, ITI/NTTF or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Tool & Die or a related field




- Basic understanding of CNC machining and CAM programming; prior experience is helpful but not required
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings and tolerances
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Basic computer skills and comfort working with 3D CAD models
- Willingness to learn: training on the 5-axis machine and RhinoCAM will be provided
- Attention to detail, discipline and a safety-first attitude

Preferred and valuable-to-have skills

• Experience machining titanium, stainless steel, cobalt-chrome or other medical-grade materials

• Experience with micro-machining or thin-wall, small-feature parts such as impellers, housingsand shafts

• Prior exposure to RhinoCAM or Rhino 3D, or basic CAD skills (SolidWorks or similar) to modifymodels and design fixtures

• Exposure to a quality system such as ISO 13485 or ISO 9001, and to CMMprogramming

• Experience with in-process probing and tool presetting

• Willingness to train others on the machine and to improve processes over time.
