Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled System Administrator with around 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, and server support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Windows servers, supporting desktops and Linux systems, monitoring backups, troubleshooting network connectivity, and maintaining storage infrastructure. The candidate should have hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Windows Failover Clustering, and Dell NAS storage. Exposure to Hyper-V virtualization, backup solutions, and disaster recovery will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle daily IT infrastructure support activities, including desktop support, server management, and system administration.

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows servers and desktop systems.

- Perform basic Linux administration and command-line troubleshooting.

- Monitor server performance, system availability, and overall infrastructure health.

- Support Windows Failover Clustering and shared storage environments.

- Manage and troubleshoot Dell NAS storage systems.

- Monitor backup jobs, perform backup verification, support restore procedures, and prepare backup reports.

- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues related to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewall rules, and network ports.

- Manage Active Directory accounts, user access, file permissions, and related administration tasks.

- Assist with Hyper-V virtualization and virtual machine management.

- Maintain technical documentation, incident records, and troubleshooting procedures.

- Manage IT support tickets and ensure timely resolution of infrastructure-related incidents.

- Assist in disaster recovery planning, testing,



and business continuity activities.

- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve hardware, software, server, and storage-related issues.

Required Technical Skills

- Around 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or server support.

- Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.

- Basic knowledge of Windows Failover Clustering and shared storage.

- Basic knowledge of Linux administration and command-line troubleshooting.

- Experience supporting Windows desktops and servers in a corporate environment.

- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and file permissions.

- Basic understanding of firewall rules, network ports, and network connectivity troubleshooting.

- Knowledge of backup monitoring, restore procedures, and backup reporting.

- Basic experience with Dell NAS storage administration and troubleshooting.

- Valuable troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and incident management skills.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to Hyper-V virtualization and virtual machine administration.

- Familiarity with backup tools such as Veeam, Commvault, or Dell PowerProtect.

- Exposure to Dell PowerScale, PowerVault, or other Dell NAS/storage platforms.

- Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT ticketing tools.

- Basic understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity.

- Relevant certifications in Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, or storage administration will be an added advantage.
