Technical Domains

- Financial Reporting (US GAAP)
- Business Combinations (ASC 805): Execute Purchase Price Allocations (PPA); perform detailed intangible asset valuations (Technology, Customer Lists, Trade Names, etc.).
- Impairment Testing (ASC 350/360): Build models for annual and interim testing for Goodwill and long-lived assets.
- Share-Based Compensation (ASC 718): Perform valuations of stock options, RSUs, and profits interests using Black-Scholes and Option Pricing Models (OPM). (Preferred / Good to have)
- Fair Value (ASC 820): Support portfolio valuations for PE/VC funds. (Preferred / Valuable to have)
- Complex Instruments: Support the valuation of warrants, convertible debt, and embedded derivatives (ASC 815). (Preferred / Good to have)

- Tax Compliance Strategy

- IRC 409A: Execute common stock valuations for private equity-backed and venture-funded companies.
- Gift Estate Tax: Draft valuations for family limited partnerships and closely held business interests.

- Industry Focus (Preferred / Good to have)

- Healthcare Services: Familiarity with healthcare-specific drivers (reimbursement models, regulatory environment) is a significant plus.

Core Responsibilities

- Execution Leadership: Act as the Lead Preparer for valuation engagements. Own the process from data gathering and management interviews to the finalization of the valuation report.
- Technical Modelling: Build and maintain complex financial models (DCF, Market Multiples, MPEEM, Relief-from-Royalty). Ensure all Excel workbooks are dynamic, error-free, and audit-ready.
- Audit Support:



Prepare detailed support workpapers to assist Managers in defending assumptions (WACC, growth rates, etc.) to Big 4 and mid-tier auditors.
- Report Drafting: Write comprehensive, narrative-driven valuation reports that clearly summarize analysis, methodologies, and conclusions.
- Engagement Management: Functionally manage the daily progression of projects, ensuring analysts/consultants meet internal deadlines and quality benchmarks.
- Quality Control: Assume primary responsibility for the accuracy of data inputs and formula integrity within all deliverables before they reach the Manager review stage.

Eligibility Criteria

- Education Credentials
- Core: MBA (Finance) from a Premier B-School, Qualified CA, or M.S. in Finance/Economics.
- Add-on: CFA (US) Level II or III candidate preferred; intent to pursue ASA, ABV, or CVA designations.

- Experience Skills

- Tenure: 2 - 4 years of dedicated business valuation experience (Big 4 or leading boutique valuation firm preferred).
- Database Knowledge: Experience with databases like Capital IQ, TagniFi, Pitchbook, MergerStats, Bloomberg, or other financial data platforms.
- Modelling Mastery: High-level Excel skills with the ability to build models from scratch using Income, Market, and Cost approaches. Experience with OPM/PWERM is highly desirable.
- Communication: Strong English communication skills (verbal and written). Must be capable of drafting sophisticated narrative reports with minimal stylistic oversight.
- Project Mindset: Ability to handle multiple engagements simultaneously and report status updates proactively to senior leadership.
