- Ensure reliable power supply and electrical infrastructure for high-speed beverage production lines.
- Supervise electrical installations, protection systems, plant lighting, and associated infrastructure.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems, power distribution, and equipment commissioning.
C. Plant Utilities Management
- Manage the installation, commissioning, and performance of plant utility systems required for beverage manufacturing.
- Oversee utility infrastructure, including:
- Air compressors and compressed-air systems.
- HVAC and ventilation systems.
- Boilers and associated utility infrastructure.
- Water treatment, RO/UV, and effluent treatment plants (ETP).
- Fire detection, firefighting, and smoke detection systems.
- Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Ensure adequate utility capacity, reliability, and efficiency to support high-speed production lines and plant expansion.
- Coordinate with plant teams to address utility-related constraints affecting production and operational efficiency.
D. Budgeting, Cost Control & Procurement
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, project estimates, and budgets.
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors for equipment selection, technical evaluation, and timely delivery of materials.
- Verify contractor bills, project measurements, material consumption, and invoices.
- Monitor inventory and ensure effective utilisation of project materials and resources.
- Support commercial negotiations and ensure adherence to approved project costs.
E. Contractor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage contractors, consultants, equipment suppliers, and installation agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, Procurement, Finance, and other relevant departments.
- Conduct project review meetings and track progress against agreed milestones.
- Ensure effective coordination between project execution teams and plant operations.
- Monitor contractor performance, work quality, resource deployment, and adherence to project timelines.
F. Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to applicable electrical safety standards, statutory requirements, and engineering codes.
- Implement and monitor permit-to-work systems, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with approved technical specifications, engineering standards, and project quality requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture among contractors, vendors, and project teams.
G. Energy Management & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for energy conservation, load optimisation, and improved utility efficiency.
- Monitor energy consumption and recommend measures to reduce energy costs.
- Evaluate opportunities for efficient power utilisation and sustainable engineering solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution, equipment reliability, and utility performance.
- Support plant expansion and infrastructure upgrades to meet changing production requirements.
3. Educational Qualifications & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering; a Diploma in Electrical Engineering may be considered based on relevant experience and technical capability.
- 812 years of relevant experience in engineering projects, electrical infrastructure, utilities, and commissioning.
- Mandatory: Relevant experience in the non-alcoholic beverage industry, preferably in soft drinks, carbonated beverages, packaged drinking water, juices, or similar beverage manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience in executing greenfield and brownfield projects in beverage manufacturing facilities.
- Hands-on exposure to high-speed beverage production lines, plant infrastructure, electrical systems, and utility installations.
- Experience in project budgeting, BOQ preparation, cost control, vendor coordination, and contractor management.
4. Mandatory Industry Requirement
- Candidates must have relevant prior experience in the non-alcoholic beverage industry. Experience in other manufacturing industries alone will not meet this requirement.
