Role Descriptions: Position SummaryThe Mobile Quality Engineer (QE) will be responsible for validating Android and iOS mobile applications through a combination of manual and automated testing. The role focuses on building and maintaining Appium-based automation frameworks| ensuring application quality| performance| security| and reliability throughout the software development lifecycle. The QE will collaborate closely with product owners| business analysts| developers| architects| and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences for advisors and clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign| develop| execute| and maintain automated test scripts for Android and iOS applications using Appium.Perform functional| regression| integration| system| smoke| and end-to-end testing of mobile applications.
Partner with developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and convert them into comprehensive test scenarios.Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning| backlog refinement| standups| and retrospectives.Identify| document| track| and verify defects through resolution.Validate mobile application behavior across multiple devices| operating systems| screen sizes| and network conditions.Perform API validation and backend integration testing for mobile services.Analyze test results| quality metrics| and trends to provide release recommendations.Support production validation| troubleshooting| and root cause analysis activities.Continuously improve automation coverage| testing efficiency| and quality engineering practices.Technical Skills & Qualifications5+ years of Quality Engineering or Software Testing experience with at least 3+ years focused on mobile application testing.Solid hands-on experience with Appium for Android and iOS mobile automation testing.Proficiency in Java| Kotlin| Swift| or similar programming languages used in automation development.Experience developing scalable automation frameworks using Appium| Selenium| TestNG/JUnit| and Page Object Model design patterns.Knowledge of Android and iOS application architecture| mobile application lifecycle| and deployment processes.Experience testing native| hybrid| and mobile web applications.Experience with REST API testing using Postman| Swagger| or equivalent tools.Experience with Git| Azure DevOps| Jira| and test management platforms.Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into build and release processes.Experience with device farms and cloud testing solutions such as BrowserStack| Sauce Labs| or equivalent platforms.Knowledge of SQL and backend data validation techniques.Experience with accessibility| usability| and cross-device compatibility testing.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting financial services| banking| wealth management| or insurance platforms.Experience validating mobile security controls| authentication flows| MFA| encryption| and secure data storage.Exp
