Job Summary:

- This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance function with a clear focus on maintaining the integrity, stability, and accuracy of core finance operations, while enabling controlled evolution of system capabilities. You will operate with a high degree of independence, acting as the critical link between junior members of the team and senior leadership.
- This role requires solid judgement, diligence, and the ability to interpret financial requirements into robust system configurations that cannot easily be reversed.
- You will work closely with senior stakeholders to bring forward proposals and desired outcomes, translating these into scalable, controlled, and well-designed finance system solutions.
- The role also offers scope for growth into broader ownership, innovation (including AI-led thinking), and leadership within Finance Systems

Main Responsibility:

- Own and maintain the integrity of finance system configurations, like NetSuite, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and control alignment
- Drive configuration updates and enhancements with a right-first-time approach, applying strong accounting knowledge to system design (account structures, ranges, and reporting) to ensure accuracy from inception, given limited reversibility
- Handle complex and ambiguous issues independently, diagnosing root causes and implementing sustainable fixes
- Oversee reconciliations, controls, reporting and issue resolution to ensure stability of core processes
- Interpret business and finance requirements (Item Master level detail)



into system configuration with minimal oversight
- Design, document, manage system and process changes, meeting business requirements for change, using the Agile framework, attending Agile ceremonies and employing similar methodologies
- Be the finance systems business partner to other business and IT subject-matter experts using the Salesforce, NetSuite, Kantata and AppDirect e-commerce platforms, providing well-rounded finance input and advice.
- Adept at working with 3rd party vendors, driving change.
- Confidently engage senior stakeholders to propose and challenge changes, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, scalable, compliant, and structured effectively.
- Lead impact assessments of changes across Finance processes (R2R, P2P, O2C) and system architecture
- Respond effectively to unexpected issues, balancing urgency with control
- Identify trends, risks, and optimisation opportunities across system and finance data
- Bridge communication between Finance, IT, and non-technical stakeholders
- Lead and design UAT, regression, and release testing with strong attention to detail
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and automation
- Manage and prioritise a varied and changing workload effectively, balancing BAU and project activity
- Demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Bring a forward-looking mindset, including openness to AI and automation opportunities within Finance Systems
