Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Legal to lead the organization's legal function, provide strategic legal advisory to senior leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage corporate legal risks.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead corporate legal governance, regulatory compliance, and enterprise-wide legal risk management.
- Advise the CEO, CFO, CXOs, and senior management on strategic legal and business matters.
- Oversee commercial contracts, high-value negotiations, partnerships, investments, and business agreements.
- Review contractual terms and assess legal risks associated with government tenders and public contracts.
- Manage litigation, arbitration, commercial disputes, and external legal counsel.
- Oversee employment law, POSH, and sensitive employee-related legal matters.
- Protect the organization's intellectual property and business interests.
- Develop legal policies, SOPs, governance frameworks, and approval processes.
- Lead and mentor the legal team and improve legal processes and digitization.

Qualification Requirements





- LLB is mandatory.
- LLM or additional qualifications in corporate or commercial law will be an advantage.

Experience Requirements

- 15+ years of overall legal experience.
- Significant experience in corporate legal management, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in commercial contracts, complex negotiations, litigation, and legal risk management.
- Experience advising CXOs or senior management on business-critical legal matters.
- Prior experience leading a legal team and managing external legal advisors.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Robust understanding of corporate and commercial law, regulatory frameworks, and legal governance.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Strong leadership and independent decision-making capabilities.

Note: Candidates with substantial corporate legal leadership experience and the ability to manage enterprise-wide legal responsibilities are preferred.
